The Global Trade Analysis Project (GTAP), in collaboration with Kyoto University, is set to host its 29th Annual Conference on Global Economic Analysis under the theme ‘Confronting Developmental and Environmental Challenges in Asia and the New Trade Landscape’.
Date: 17–19 June 2026
Location: Kyoto International Conference Center
The conference aims to foster the exchange of ideas amongst economists engaged in quantitative analysis of global economic issues, with a particular emphasis on computable general equilibrium (CGE) models, data, and policy-relevant applications.
To support participation from the region, the ERIA 2026 GTAP Conference Participation Grant will fund up to three ASEAN-based participants to attend the 2026 GTAP Conference in Kyoto, Japan. The grant seeks to encourage applied, policy-relevant CGE research related to ASEAN development, strengthen researchers’ quantitative policy analysis skills, and facilitate knowledge exchange with international peers.
Grant recipients may also be invited to publish their papers in ERIA’s Discussion Paper Series, subject to a blinded review process.
