In the power sector, the Center's focus is on maximising renewable energy integration and promoting electrification. A robust power grid is key to supporting these efforts, and we believe the ASEAN Power Grid (APG) initiative will play a crucial role in unlocking the region's renewable energy potential.

To bring this vision to life, we are conducting research on enabling multilateral power trade agreements, with an emphasis on policy and market harmonisation, and on integrating advanced grid technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), smart grids, and innovative energy storage solutions. We are also prioritising cybersecurity for grid systems to ensure reliable and secure operations.
