Project Overview

The Technology List and Perspectives for Transition Finance (TLP) in Asia is designed to help financial institutions (FIs) make an initial assessment of candidate technologies for transition finance. The TLP provides an overview of potential green and transition technologies and serves as an interim reference until more comprehensive technology roadmaps or taxonomies are issued by Asian governments. It is not intended as an absolute standard, but rather as a flexible reference point to guide assessments and decision-making.

The TLP covers five categories of energy-related activities: upstream, power, midstream, downstream, and end-use/industry sectors. From an inclusive list of 176 green and transition technologies, a total of 50 technologies were selected for in-depth analysis, such as emission reduction impact, cost, and ASEAN Taxonomy compatibility, to support decision-making by financial institutions and policymakers.
